AMD bringt BlueStacks als AMD AppZone neu heraus

Vor einiger Zeit haben die Jungs (und Mädels) der Firma BlueStacks eine gleichnamige Software auf den Markt gebracht, die die unendliche Vielfalt der Android-Apps auf den Desktop bringt. Der Client ging letztes Jahr im November als x86-kompatible Version für Windows online und seitdem war es relativ ruhig. Bis heute, denn die Partnerschaft mit AMD verhilft der Software zu neuem Wachstum.

Viele Apps haben wir zu lieben und zu schätzen gelernt auf unseren Smartphones und Tablets. Manchmal hab ich mich selbst schon dabei ertappt, warum es diese eine App nicht auch als Desktop-Ableger für Windows 7 gibt. Mit dem taiwanischen Konzern ASUS hat BlueStacks bereits eine Partnerschaft, von der noch nicht allzu viel zu sehen ist im Endkundenmarkt. Umso erfreulicher dürfte da die Partnerschaft mit AMD ausfallen, denn diese ist wie egsagt heute an den Start gegangen. Offiziell ist die AMD-Version von BlueStacks nur auf PC#s lauffähig, die entweder mit einer Radeon-Grafikkarte (GPU) oder einer AMD-APU ausgestattet sind. Wer den Player auf einem Intel-NVIDIA-System laufen hat, der melde sich doch bitte in den Kommentaren dazu.

Dabei haben beide Unternehmen Großes vor: AMD und BlueStacks wollen über 500.000 Apps auf über 100 Millionen Windows-Rechner verfügbar machen, zusätzlich zu den Abermillionen an Smartphones und Tablets mit dem Android Betriebssystem. Sogar der Zugriff auf den offiziellen Google Play Store ist möglich, inklusive Update-Benachrichtigungen und der vertrauten Update-Oberfläche. Zusätzlich werden noch der Amazon App Store, GetJar und 1Mobile durchsucht, sollte mal etwas nicht im Google Play Store zu haben sein. Sogar Homescreen Replacements wie LauncherPro oder der Go Launcher Ex können installiert und genutzt werden, auf dem Android 2.3 Gingerbread System. Wer das virtuelle Android mal ausprobieren will, wird bei der AMD AppZone fündig. Für alle anderen gibt es den BlueStacks App Player hier als Download. Ob diese Version ebenfalls rootbar ist?

Powered by BlueStacks’ award-winning technology, the AMD AppZone Player brings thousands of Android apps to the millions of AMD-powered tablets, notebooks, all-in-one and desktop PCs worldwide.     Ich hatte es auf meinem alten System laufen (Intel), würde es falls ich es hier mal brauche oder benutzen möchte auch installieren
