[FLASH NEWS] Obi Worldphone SF1 und SJ1.5 by Apple Ex-CEO

obi_worldphone_flashnewsAuch wenn unsereins zuerst bei dem Namen OBI an eine deutsche Baumarktkette denkt, so steckt hinter den beiden Android Smartphones Obi Worldphone SF1 und Worldphone SJ1.5 kein geringerer als der Ex-Apple CEO John Sculley. Dieser hat nach dem Weggang aus Cupertino mit seiner Abfindung gleich mehrere Unternehmen gegründet, wovon Obi Worldphones eines von denen ist. Dessen Philosophie sind Android Smartphones mit einem außergewöhnlichen Design zu einem Preis unter 200 US-Dollar.

Obi Worldphone SF1

Eines der beiden Android Smartphones ist das 5 Zoll große Obi Worldphone SF1, welches grundsolide mit einer Snapdragon 615 Octa-Core-CPU, Full HD-Display (1.920 x 1.080 Pixel), 2 GB RAM und 16 GB Programmspeicher oder für 50 US-Dollar mehr mit 3 GB RAM und 32 GB erweiterbaren internen Speicher daher kommt. Auch die beiden Kameras mit 13 und 5 Megapixel sind absolut im allgemeinen Mittelklasse Niveau. Mit einem 3.000 mAh starken Akku, Dual-SIM Funktion, LTE, 5 GHz WiFi und Bluetooth 4.0 kann man zu einem Grundpreis von 199 US-Dollar nicht meckern.

Obi Worldphone SJ1.5

Noch günstiger ist dagegen das Obi Worldphone SJ1.5 zu einem Preis von nur 129 US-Dollar. Dafür gibt es dann bei dem 5 Zoll großen Display nur eine Auflösung von 1.280 x 720 Pixel (294 ppi), eine MediaTek MT6580 Quad-Core-CPU mit 1 GB RAM und 16 GB erweiterbaren Programmspeicher. Gleich ist wiederum der 3.000 mAh starke Akku und die Dual-SIM-Karten Funktion. Auf LTE verzichtet das Obi Worldphone SJ1.5.
Wer Fotos mit dem Android 5.1 Lollipop Smartphone machen möchte hat dafür eine 8 und 5 Megapixel Kamera zur Verfügung.

Leider wird der US-amerikanische und Deutsche Markt vorab nicht mit den beiden Smartphones beliefert, da diese dem Preis entsprechend Schwellenländern wie Indonesien, Indien und Südafrika vorbehalten sind.
