Neue Infos zu Jelly Bean Updates für Samsung und Note 10.1 vorbestellbar

Seit letztem Jahr könnte es für Samsung nicht besser laufen, was die Beliebtheit der Marke und der eigenen Produkte anbelangt. Mit dem Galaxy S III hat man derzeit das wohl beste Android-Smartphone auf dem Markt (ok, ist Geschmacksfrage), dass Galaxy Note ist ebenfalls ein Millionenseller sowie quasi Konkurrenzlos und das Galaxy S II verkauft sich nach wie vor wie geschnitten Brot.

Was läge da also näher, als ein Update auf die neuste Androidversion zu veröffentlichen? Scheinbar nichts, denn die Kollegen von SamMobile haben mal ihre Kontakte bei Samsung etwas ausgehorcht und Neuigkeiten zu eben jenen Updates bekommen. So haben die Kollegen unter anderem erfahren, dass die Testfirmware für das Galaxy S III die Tests überstanden hat und Samsung nun an der finalen Firmware bastelt. Verteilt werden könnte diese vermutlich noch im dritten, spätestens im vierten Quartal diesen Jahres. Selbst für das Galaxy S II, dem Vorgänger des Galaxy S III und sich immer noch gut verkaufenden Smartphones, befindet sich Jelly Bean in der Testphase. Allerdings ist diese noch nicht abgeschlossen, ebenso wie beim Galaxy Note. Das Galaxy Note II wird übrigens mit Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich erwartet, dass Update auf Jelly Bean könnte vermutlich Anfang viertes Quartal.

Oder um es kurz und knackig zu machen, ohne Bestätigung seitens Samsung:

Abgesehen davon scheint das Galaxy Note 10.1 nun endlich seinen Weg in den Handel zu finden, nachdem es vor über einem halben Jahr erstmals vorgestellt und zwischendurch mehrfach überarbeitet wurde. Laut Cyberport werden die ersten Geräte noch diese Woche eintreffen und könnten spätestens Anfang nächste Woche in den Verkauf gehen. Wer will kann sich das Tablet mit dem Exynos 4412 Quadcore, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB internem Speicher und dem S-Pen bereits vorbestellen. Allerdings sind 739 Euro alles andere als günstig, erwartet wird allerdings ein bald fallender Preis. Zumindest ist das fast normal, dass die UVP-Preise bei Samsung hoch angesetzt und innerhalb der ersten Tage/Wochen deutlich fallen.

The Galaxy Note 10.1 incorporates key intuitive features and capabilities such as side-by-side multitasking. With the Galaxy Note 10.1’s Multiscreen feature, it’s possible to use two different applications side-by-side simultaneously. S Pen & S Note for Personalised and Organised Note-taking

Featuring its advanced 6.5mm S Pen, the Galaxy Note 10.1 is optimised for the creation of personalised and expressive content in the most natural and intuitive way. The S Pen’s feel and functionality are specifically designed for an optimal experience on the 10.1-inch screen. The S Pen is embedded directly in the device and, when removed, automatically launches specially optimised applications, including S Note, S Planner, Crayon physics, Adobe® Photoshop® Touch, and Polaris Office.

Alternatively, people can easily set their preferred application to be launched instantly. For example, S Note can be launched instantly when the S Pen is taken out from the device. Owners can also tap the screen twice while pressing the S Pen button for quick S Note access via the S Note-dedicated widget, which can be easily moved anywhere on the display, never hindering or obstructing creativity or productivity.

The S Note is a unique tool that enables notes and sketches to be combined with other digital content in ready-to-use templates. The Shape Match and Formula Match features help correct and digitise geometric shapes and solve numeric formulas hand-written with the S Pen. Superior Hardware Performance

Galaxy Note 10.1 is designed with advanced hardware technology, including a 1.4GHz quad-core processor and 2GB of internal RAM. Seamless multi-tasking, high-standard graphics, and blazing-fast performance without any lag are essential features of the device. The Galaxy Note 10.1 also includes a 5- megapixel main camera and a 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera.

Several other features have been added to the Galaxy Note 10.1, including Smart Stay, which tracks the owner’s eye to ensure that the screen is always on while being looked at; and Pop Up Play, which allows a video to be watched anywhere on the screen while simultaneously running other tasks. Die Updates sind also in Arbeit, zumindest für die aktuelle Riege der Highend-Modelle. Zwar wäre noch ein Laut bezüglich der Tablets wünschenswert, immerhin hat man sich in dieser Hinsicht mit ASUS zu messen. Dennoch gerade für Besitzer des Galaxy S II und Note, dass man doch ein offizielles Update erhalten wird, auch wenn ich lieber auf die erste finale AOKP warte. Und mal nebenbei in die Runde gefragt: Hat sich schon jemand das Note 10.1 vorbestellt, bzw. will sich das holen?
