Gemeinsam mit dem Xiaomi Mi 11 hatte das Unternehmen auch eine neue Version der hauseigenen Benutzeroberfläche in Form von dem Xiaomi MIUI 12.5. Nun sind auch einige neue Features bekannt und welche Geräte das Update als erstes erhalten werden.
Xiaomi MIUI 12.5 nicht nur für das Mi 11 (Pro)

Wir hatten bereits am vergangenen Wochenende darüber berichtet, dass es Xiaomi für die neue Mi 11 Serie nicht ganz geschafft hat, MIUI in der Version 13 zur Verfügung zu stellen. Grund ist der zeitlich vorgezogene Release, der aktuell aber nur das Mi 11 und nicht das Mi 11 Pro oder Ultra betrifft. Dennoch gibt es ein „halbes“ Update in Form von Xiaomi MIUI 12.5. Jenes ist auf dem ersten Smartphone mit einem Snapdragon 888 bereits ab Werk dabei und wurde von den XDA Developers schon auf Herz und Nieren getestet.
Zu den wichtigsten Neuheiten zählt unter anderem ein neues „Super Wallpaper“, mehr Privatsphäre, sowie neue Klingeltöne, Animationen und Sounds. Wie es sich zuletzt schon bei Motorola angedeutet hat, wird auch Xiaomi über die MIUI-Anwendung eine Direkt-Verbindung zum Windows-PC aufbauen können. Eine Art Desktop-Mode wie wir ihn bereits von Samsung DeX „Desktop eXperience“ kennen.

Durch leichte Design-Veränderungen und einem optimierten Datenmanagement, verspricht die MIUI in der Version 12.5 effizienteren Akkuverbrauch. Weiterhin ist auch von einer neuen Notiz-App die Rede, welche mit ausklappbaren Menüpunkten, Malfunktionen und das einfache festhalten von Ideen ermöglicht. Aktuell gibt es im Heimatland eine offene Beta-Phase. Es ist also davon auszugehen, dass die bereits jetzt unterstützen Xiaomi-Smartphones zu den ersten gehören, die das offizielle OTA-Update (Over The Air) erhalten werden. Allen voran natürlich die komplette Xiaomi Mi 10-, als auch Redmi K30-Serie. Demzufolge natürlich auch die baugleiche Mi 10T-Serie. Weitere Modelle sind die:
